Welcome to Hotter & Weirder! I’m Amie, a multi-hyphenate creative who takes one thing, and only one thing very seriously: calling bullshit on literally everything.
Why is “finding your person” the pinnacle of personal happiness?
Why are children so great and why is everyone having them?
Why do we try so hard to look young when we’re all getting older by the second?
Laughing in the face of the standards we didn’t create and don’t do us any favors for our mental health-wise.
I started my journey by creating The Spinster Life, and if you go back through my archives on any of my platforms you’ll see content bearing that branding. And it’s not going anywhere, it’s a great reminder of where I came from. Hotter & Weirder is an expansion of that focus on singleness, branching out to include all of the topics that interest me. But especially beauty standards related to aging.
