Channel Description
I moved to France in 2024 while in my early 60's. I lived in the United States my entire life, and lived around the country as career opportunities were presented. I traveled internationally for work and for vacations and always had a fascination for Europe, in particular.
Richard is my best friend and he also moved to France in 2024. He also lived in the US his entire life, and moved around the country throughout his career. He initially wanted to live in Italy, but the visa process turned out to be more onerous than we wanted to deal with. And France appeared to be the only EU country (not fully confirmed) that did not tax our US social security income. Et voila!
The objective of the channel is to show people what it is like to actually LIVE here; not just slow travel or be here for 2-3 months. There are ups and downs, as expected, but overall a great experience.
We are housemates in the South of France in a very affordable area, with friendly locals, and a lot of sunshine.
