Robert Shupe is an artist who weaves stories of the tragic and macabre over joyfully eerie, whimsical and dark music. Whether playing a waltz of carefully layered organs and bells or utilizing traditional folk finger-style guitar the result is an ominous and blithesome dissonance.

If you had to apply a genre to his sound, it could most likely be classified as “goth-folk” or “horror-rock”. These styles are intertwined with bluegrass, metal, new wave, rock, blues, folk, dark wave, low register vocals and ambient noise, creating a truly unique and joyfully macabre listening experience.
