Stands on Sapphires is a female-fronted symphonic hard rock trio from the Pacific Northwest, fusing soaring vocals, heavy riffs, and cinematic flair into what they call Anthemic Dark Rock. Formed in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo Bethany Rose (vocals) and Trevor Isaac (guitar), along with bassist Wade Britz, the band was born from a calling to share their Christian faith through music. Drawing on influences from Western rock giants and Japanese composers, their songs wrestle honestly with brokenness while pointing to redemption and hope in Christ. Their latest release, the double album Anhedonia: Death & Resurrection (2025), captures that journey in its most raw and personal form yet, as they continue to rally their fanbase—affectionately called “Gems”—around anthems of truth, resilience, and belonging.
