Phantasia Records was born from the desire to revive the legacy of the obscure jazz fusion band Phantasia. What began as a reconstruction of their discography has since expanded into a full universe.
We've grown more open to AI’s role in creation, as it becomes a standard part of many artistic workflows. Being against it can feel like a privilege. The technology is here to stay, and we aim to use it in a meaningful way that resonates with us and our audience. Meaning is not universal, what may seem empty to you can bring joy and connection to others, regardless of the tools used.
At face value, our presentation is deceptive. We aim for that illusion and invite you to see it as part of an artistic approach. If this leads to discomfort, that reflects expectations. Many of us were fooled by ARGs and mockumentaries in our youth, and it was fun. That’s the spirit we aim to channel here. Portraying it in a negative light is a personal interpretation, not a reflection of our intentions.
