Welcome to The Turmeric Club!
Over 20 years ago, I moved from India to the U.S., and like many immigrants, I faced the challenge of adjusting to a new way of life. One of the biggest changes was in my cooking. With limited household help and long work hours, I had to find ways to recreate the flavors of home with simpler, faster methods that fit into my busy schedule.
Indian cooking is often seen as time-consuming, complex, and spicy. My goal with The Turmeric Club is to prove otherwise! With a bit of planning and a few modified techniques, you can make nourishing, flavorful Indian meals that are easy to prepare and perfect for family life in the U.S.
After teaching computer programming for 32 years, I’m now enjoying life with my children and grandkids. I’m excited to share not just recipes, but also my journey from being an Indian immigrant to embracing life as an Indian-American. Join me as we make cooking simpler, life easier, and celebrate the rich, comforting tastes of home!"
