World Cafe Live

World Cafe Live is a nonprofit devoted to supporting live music, music education, & community engagement in Philadelphia. In 2019, we merged with our longtime nonprofit partner LiveConnections. On our World Cafe Live channel, you can find full performances and excerpts from WCL/LiveConnections Bridge Sessions. During these educational performances, artists collaborate across diverse music traditions — blues, classical, gospel, hip-hop, jazz, pop, rock, Latin American, Middle Eastern, & West African, to name a few. You can also see full performances and excerpts from LiveConnections Presents, our concert series that features curated programs, pairing artists from distinct musical genres who might not otherwise work together. These genre-crossing collaborations have sparked new ensembles, ongoing performance series and a revitalized approach to concert music in the Philadelphia region.
