Hi! I’m Papa Shrimp - (a.k.a. Jerry Flores) and I’ve been an aquarium hobbyist for over 45 years. I started with guppies as a kid, but my passion turned into a focus on planted tanks and aqua scaping; and eventually grew into a lifestyle of keeping freshwater neocaridina and caridina shrimp, aquarium plants, nano fish and more. I discovered shrimp at a local fish store in late 2017 and it quickly became a passion that has taken me all over the country to work with and learn from some of the best shrimp breeders in the USA. I was selected as a judge for The American Shrimp Contest in 2021, 2022, and 2024 Aquashella - Dallas, TX. I share videos on YouTube hoping to inspire and educate shrimp lovers into “Keeping it Shrimple” because “I love shrimp ... who else loves shrimp?”
I am always trying new things or old things but differently - while sharing mistakes and successes ... and having a great time doing it.
