Vintage VW Adventures

Restoration done by Bill Childress AKA Doubleodude in his two car garage at home. I have had a love for old vintage VW's my entire life. I bought my first one in 1987 for $50 dollars and was able to get it back on the road and I was hooked. Over the last 30 years I've owned at least 40 different air-cooled Volkswagens. I've slowly learned to build engines, do body work and even paint cars. I want to share what I have learned and bring you guys along. Restoring air-cooled Volkswagens is slowly becoming more and more difficult as the cars age. Rust repair and panel replacement is becoming more common.
