The Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) is a leading non-profit membership organization committed to advancing music education across Texas. With over 17,000 music educator members from K-college, TMEA advocates for the essential role of music in comprehensive education, influencing state policies to support fine arts instruction.
TMEA provides extensive professional development opportunities for music educators, including our annual Clinic/Convention, which is among the largest of its kind globally, fostering innovation and excellence in music education. TMEA also publishes Southwestern Musician, a magazine with eight annual issues that reach over 18,000 readers.
