New Orleans-born TV personality and Cuban-American chef, David Guas, is widely familiar from his frequent appearances on The Today Show, The Talk, Food Network, and his role as host and co-judge of Travel Channel’s summer competition series, "American Grilled.” In his latest and most personal endeavor yet, the web series “Forbidden Feasts.” David returns home to the native land of his father, Mariano Guas, to unravel the storied past of the prestigious Guas family in Cuba and the ancestral dishes that provide a lifeline between generations. The eight-part docu-series is an exploration of the redemptive power of food and the role it plays in fostering salvation and relief for a nation and its people. David's mission is for FORBIDDEN FEASTS to become an episodic series expanding to other countries, taking the same personal approach to share inaccessible communities and their stories with viewers.
