Lavie released ‘Violet Rose’ as her first single. “It was not an easy decision; when you write tons of songs and are proud of each one of them, you find it hard to choose the best one. I spent less time writing 'Violet Rose' compared to the other 13 songs from the album ‘Forbidden,’ so I chose it. The song is bold like the color violet and it felt like the right thing to do at that moment”.
‘Violet Rose’ received much appreciation from across the globe, with the song being streamed heavily in India, the United States, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Canada in the first six months of its release. “It feels like a dream, to receive such love and admiration in a short span of my music career is unfathomable”, says Lavie on looking back at her still-new music journey. “When I see people responding “I love your songs”, “Violet Rose is my favorite”, “Your songs made me happy”, “I am excited for the next song”, it really makes me want to work even harder, the feeling is so surreal”.
