Flying With Purpose, Racing Pigeons. Hello everyone!! If you are reading this, chances are you like, love, or are intrigued by, pigeons, especially Racing Pigeons.
I had homing pigeons in Portugal when i was a teenager given to me by my older brother when he came into the US. I kept his birds for about 4 or 5 years but did not race, until i too came into the US in 1994. Fast forward 25 years later, i bought some racing pigeons online, and was given some good birds by local pigeon fanciers, namely Joe Allocca and John Minnuies, and began breeding in 2020 and racing in 2021. A big thank you to them.
A special thanks to Joe Allocca for his mentorship and friendship. I now race in NJ, in the challenging Central Jersey Combine.
