THE DERBY SHOULDER UNIT OFFERS THE LATEST IN SHOULDER DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT.
We treat all types of shoulder and elbow problems from common age-related conditions such as osteoarthritis to complex fractures and soft tissue injuries. Many of our consultants have national and international reputations. This is reflected in the complexity of the cases performed. The Unit is a tertiary referral centre for many complex shoulder and elbow problems and we employ a number of cutting edge technologies in the realms of adult reconstruction and trauma care.
All patients receive a thorough clinical assessment of their problem with further investigations arranged if required. All specialist investigations such as X-Ray, Ultrasound Scan, MRI Scan, CT Scan, Radio-isotope Bone Scan and Nerve Tests are available on site. We plan our treatment approach for each patient taking into account the research evidence for best practice and any specific needs of the individual.
