The National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center's (NETEC) is a collaborative effort of 13 U.S. Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Centers (RESPTCs) working together to enhance the capacity of the U.S. public health and health care systems to manage special pathogens safely and effectively.
More than 100 industry leaders representing a range of health care specialties, from infectious disease clinicians to emergency medical service leaders and public health officials, share their expertise, producing timely and innovative educational resources, providing technical consulting and assistance, convening global partners, and building a nation-wide special pathogens research infrastructure.
