Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) is the Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee. Before serving in the U.S. Congress, he served in the Georgia state legislature. Since 2002, he has also served as a United States Air Force Reserve chaplain. Stationed at Balad Air Force Base, he completed a tour of duty in Iraq in 2008. He and his wife Lisa have owned and operated a number of small businesses in Gainesville, Georgia, located in Rep. Collins congressional district, where he grew up. They have three children – their daughter Jordan and sons Copelan and Cameron - and attend Lakewood Baptist Church. Rep. Collins graduated with a political science degree from University of North Georgia, a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta and a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as senior pastor at Chicopee Baptist Church.
