Welcome to 'Growing With Tom Spellman' YouTube Channel! I hope this channel will inspire both beginning and experienced gardeners alike with my personal education and experience, as well as guest collaborations. My horticultural career started in 1972 when a neighbor offered me a position working with 5th Avenue Nursery in Rowland Heights, CA. Thereafter, I worked as a manager for Nogales Nursery, and then La Verne Nursery.
Since 2001, I have been the SouthWestern sales manager with Dave Wilson Nursery; one of the largest deciduous fruit and nut tree producers in the USA!
You may have seen me discussing fruit tree care lessons on television, radio, magazines, and newspapers over the years. Examples include: HGTV Gardening by the Yard, DIY Weekend Gardner. Articles for Garden Compass Magazine, Sunset and Los Angeles Times. Lectures for UC Master Gardeners, CRFG, and The Huntington.
