A lawyer breaking down laws and cases to provide high-quality legal information to everyday people. By communicating legal information through storytelling, I hope to inspire viewers to get interested and active in the legal system.
In Canada and the United States, access to justice is a huge problem, as a significant portion of legal needs go unmet. Not only are legal services prohibitively expensive, but people are uncertain of their rights and how to handle legal problems, are afraid to use the legal system or think nothing can be done, or believe that seeking justice will be too expensive or take too long. The knowledge, resources, and services that allow people to deal effectively with legal matters remains out of reach.
Though viewers are not my clients, my goal is to try and inform them about different legal issues so that they can at least be aware of when their rights and obligations are at stake and require independent advice, and how to look for and obtain it.
