My passion for cooking blossomed in my Southern childhood. Mom taught me cooking while crafting our school clothes. Marrying a farmer, I moved to Iowa, enriching my love for food. At Northern Iowa University, I specialized in experimental foods, blending Southern-Midwest influences into my fusion cuisine.

When my daughter had Celiac Disease, I researched and adapted favorite recipes into gluten-free versions without compromising taste. Even those without gluten issues loved my creations. Frustrated with costly and subpar gluten-free products, I fought against their exploitation, authoring "A Taste To Remember: 188 Gluten-Free Recipes."

To have a broader impact, I founded "Inspired Gluten Free," guiding people on their gluten-free journey, tackling social challenges, and aiding novice cooks.
