Our story began in 1954 when our founders Les and Olive Hutchins fell in love with the unexplored beauty of Patea Doubtful Sound. We’re talking about the kind of love that makes you feel alive. The love that makes you feel like anything and everything is possible.
It’s the love all of us continue to feel today in Ata Whenua Fiordland, Rakiura Stewart Island, Whakatipu Queenstown, and right across southern New Zealand. The love that leaves us feeling blissfully insignificant in the face of so much natural beauty.
RealNZ has experiences spanning:
- remote untouched wilderness including Patea Doubtful Sound, Piopiotahi Milford Sound, and Rakiura Stewart Island
- Whakatipu Queenstown where the historic TSS Earnslaw steamship cruises to Walter Peak Farm
- the Jet Boats and Rafts that navigate the Kawarau or Shotover Rivers
- the underground world of Te Anau Glowworm Caves
- the high-altitude exhilaration of Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone
