Toronto native Marty Bernie (he/him) is a Toronto-based musician, game composer, and music producer best known for his synth pop releases, DJ sets around North America, Europe, and China, and videogame soundtracks. Mixing influences of Trap, Pop, 90’s R&B, Jazz, and much more into his “shiny colourful” sound that brings punchy percussion and evocative vocals together by way of sunny synths and boisterous bass lines to build albums around new worlds. His EPs “New Laces” (2016), “Paperman” (2018), Stay-at-Home Popstar (2021), and King of the Moon (2023) have received tremendous support from tastemakers and press including Majestic Casual, Cloudkid, Billboard, Paper Mag, Stereogum and YourEDM. His Soundtrack for the Xbox-exclusive retro synth soundscape-driven 2022 indie game "Echo Generation" won best original score at the 2022 Canadian Indie Game Awards (CIGA). Pusher is also known for his work with Music YouTuber Andrew Huang, and his info-tainment videos.
