Channel Description
Millions have been inspired by 97-year-old Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch--her fantastical journey, invaluable insights, boundless vitality and special way of teaching yoga. Called the real “Forrest Gump,” she participated in historic events most of us only read about--from marching with Mahatma Gandhi to helping Jews escape the Nazis during World War II. She studied with a Who’s Who of the Spiritual World including Sri Aurobindo, BKS Iyengar, K Pattabhi Jois, Swami Prabhavananda, Dr. Roman Ostoja and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. In 2012, she was named Oldest Yoga Teacher by Guinness World Records. From wowing judges on America’s Got Talent as she danced with her 26-year-old partner to sharing the stage with His Holiness the Dalai Lama at a Peace Summit, Tao exemplifies her mantra “There Is Nothing You Cannot Do”. Her long-awaited autobiography, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master, debuted in September 2015.
