As a family living in Australia on a small acreage property, we choose to grow our own produce where able or support our local growers of fresh produce where ever possible. With the increasing cost of living in Australia like many we are wanting a more simple life. Getting back to basics of home grown or locally sourced produce. Learning and sharing how to preserve the produce we work hard to produce as we try to eliminate unnecessary waste. Together sharing how we prepare meals and save our produce by waterbath canning, pressure canning or drying are just a few options we utilise, reserving the freezer space for bulk meat purchases. Using Solar power to power appliances during the daytimes we are reducing our expenses while filling our shelves.
