Atomec Studios is a teacher-led initiative aimed at empowering kids to become digital content creators rather than passive consumers of other people's work. We offer insanely fun and engaging online content and real-life camps and workshops that nurture children's creativity while teaching them all the skills they need to express themselves using coding and digital art tools.
Founder Andrew Tomec is a veteran journalist and technology educator who's taught thousands of children (and their teachers) how to harness free software tools to create their own games, digital stories, animations, images and music. The cornerstone of his educational philosophy is the belief that children learn best when encouraged to pursue ambitious projects that align with their own passions rather than following somebody else's idea of what they need to know. "Just give them the tools and show them a few simple techniques and then get out of the way!"
