Anole Garden

We're converting our North Florida weed patch/lawn in our back yard to a productive food forest, backyard orchard and vegetable garden. Join us as we share our successes and failures while discovering the unique challenges and benefits of trying to grow healthy food in Florida's unpredictable and sometimes hostile environment. We strive for organic gardening whenever possible, but a managed garden ecosystem doesn't just happen, so we'll also talk about the benefits and issues with pest management, harvesting, plant disease and soil health. Occasionally we'll discuss specific garden tools and supplies that make our lives easier and try to show you how and why we choose to grow the plants we have.

We're located near the east coast in north Florida (zone 9), but we strive to make our videos helpful to anyone trying to beat the heat, build hurricane resistant gardens and fight off everything that flies, jumps or crawls that wants to eat our food!
