Whether I'm playing a favorite tune, or just letting my fingers take me to the place my head or heart might be at that moment, making music at the piano gives me much peace and pleasure. There's a sense of interpretive freedom, of creativity, and of accomplishment when reproducing familiar songs that take us to some place in our past. The ability for music to be nostalgic, to conjure up memories and speak a universal language is an ongoing inspiration for me. The camera is positioned to give other pianists a view of my hands, so as to be somewhat of a tutorial.

Here, I'm mostly playing abridged piano instrumental covers of songs from yesteryear through to today with a focus on 60's, through 90's; songs I grew up with, traditional, country, folk, rock, popular; ballads mostly; some quite true to the original, others a bit more ad lib.
