Ravenview Farm

This channel chronicles the ins and outs of a 100 acre family farm in southern Minnesota. There are a lot of great "big farm" channels out there, so we'll compare and contrast a bit with those operations while explaining what we do. In 2019 we switched to no-till and started doing a lot of work with cover crops and other regenerative practices, so we'll put extra emphasis on those elements and how they're making us think about farming in new and sustainable ways.

Our farm has been in the family for four generations. My wife and I plan to take over from my parents some day, and each year I get a little more involved in the operation. The farm will always be home to me, and our challenge is to find ways to make this small-scale operation work for us and our community in a way that gives us an income source, but which also allows us to be good stewards of the land and surrounding environment.
