Irene Young

Photographer Irene Young (Irene Young Foto), with over 600 CD covers to her credit, has been published worldwide multiple times including O, The Oprah Magazine, US WEEKLY, People Magazine, Billboard, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and The Economist. Her photographs of authors include Geneen Roth, Shakti Gawain, Susan Griffin, Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks, Dr. Neal Barnard, and many others. She has photographed celebrities such as Sonia Braga, Steve Allen, Rosario Dawson, Narada Michael Walden, Laura Nyro, Lance Henriksen, Judy Collins, Mary Black, Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega, and Al Jareau. Young has been a guest teacher at the San Francisco Art Institute, The School of Visual Arts in New York City, and Laney College in Oakland. CA. Young is a house photographer at The Freight and Salvage music venue in Berkeley, CA. Her new book, "Something About The Women: Five Decades of Seeing by Irene Young" will be available mid-November 2023.
