The Unsolved

I am Tim, a veteran Illinois Press Association and Northern Illinois Newspaper Association award-winning journalist for the past 29 years from the Midwest. My investigative, government and sports print journalism and editorial work has appeared in most of the state's largest publications, including the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald and many, many more.

I also have worked for a licensed private investigation agency run by a retired Chicago Police officer conducting nationwide skip traces, along with forwarding tips which led to a cold case that was unsolved for 18 years, being solved, in Illinois in 2011 - The Hollywood Ripper case, while I was an editor for Patch.com.

My work produced police interviews in the Delphi, Indiana double homicides, and led to investigators interviewing a source in the case. I have since branched out to other unsolved cases in order to hopefully produce leads or tips in those, too, during my spare time.
