Nomadic Research Labs Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
The first "digital nomad" now has a mobile media digitizing lab on an island north of Seattle, far down the road from the 17,000 miles around the US on a computerized recumbent bicycle from 1983 to 1991. This channel carries lots of history of the Winnebiko & BEHEMOTH projects, as well as the Microship trimaran that followed.
The new video series (starting in 2024) is the complete Computing Across America story, expanded to include the paleo-networking of the eighties and the development of the $1.2 million BEHEMOTH bicycle. We will also continue tossing in other treasures from digitized film, along with pieces about the techniques that make this magic possible..
