Montonn Jira

Montonn Jira has become one of Thailand’s foremost music producers. His work spans multiple genres, and features credits and collaborations with artists as diverse as Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Hugo and Thai rock band Slot Machine, and has also seen him perform at one of the largest concerts in history, Live Earth. In more recent years, Jira has featured more prominently behind the scenes than on stage, working with a multitude of Thai and international artists in the studio, as well as forming his own label imprint Samutprakarn Sound. 2020 saw Jira turn his attention to his first solo record in over two decades, dedicating more than a year to working through many individual song ideas, before settling on 13 stunning tracks. Jira’s sophomore solo album sees him draw upon his vast and varied experience to produce one of the most ambitious records to emerge from Thailand in the last decade, the luminous folktronica offering “DuayKwamKaorop”.
