Maurice Skillern was born in Houston, Texas. After graduating high school, he soon joined the military (United States Army). Maurice Skillern spent most of his adult life, serving in both the active duty and the reserve components of the Army. He has actively served in three military conflicts (Desert Shield/Storm; Joint Endeavor (Germany); Iraq Freedom (Baghdad, Iraq)). He has also served on both sides of the Army houses, initially as an enlisted soldier (where he reached the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7) and then he served as an officer and he retired (April 2008) as a Captain. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska where he also earned his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. He went on to earn his Doctorate in medical Science degree from Lincoln Memorial university in Harrogate, Tennessee. Maurice continues to medically aid all.
