The Yale Russian Chorus is the oldest tenor-bass a cappella singing group in the New World dedicated to the choral music of Eastern Europe. This channel includes concerts, virtual recordings, and workshops organized by YRC alumni.
The Yale Russian Chorus (YRC), hailed by the Wall Street Journal as "Diplomats of Song", was founded 1953 at the height of the Cold War. The Chorus has made over 20 tours of the Soviet Union, Russia, and Eastern Europe, won international choral competitions, released 20 albums, serenaded presidents, and has performed in the world's leading concert halls. Our channel is fully bilingual English-Russian and has a large international following. It is one of the three fastest growing university choir channels in the world.
