Channel Description
Stocks on the Rocks #SOTR started as a means of creating an open space to have conversations around finance. The aim is to promote Financial Literacy by discussing seemingly complex Investment and Finance lingo in simple ways to all cross-sections of people. We believe in holistic financial development through the promoting of proper saving and money management habits, Investing wisely, and Insuring our hard-earned assets.
We had our first meeting in July 2019 at Palisadoes. There were about 10 of us. We discussed our own experiences, learned from each other, and had drinks, all until about 2am the next day.
The movement has grown but the objective remains the same; to drive financial inclusion through increased financial literacy, free and open sessions islandwide, all in a conducive environment. 100s of people from all walks of life and different age groups have participated.
