The Grantsmanship Center (TGCi) Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

The Grantsmanship Center® provides cutting-edge training: how to win grants, manage grants and create social enterprises for financial security beyond grant funding. The Center publishes the all-time classic: Program Planning & Proposal Writing, referenced in the New York Times as "the proposal writer's bible." The Center's website offers a plethora of information, much of it free: www.tgci.com.

Norton Kiritz founded the Center in 1972 to teach community-based organizations how to get good work funded. Before this, no grant training existed and small organizations often lacked skills to compete successfully for grants. As word spread about the Center's effective training, demand rapidly expanded. By 1975, the Center conducted over 100 workshops/year across the US. Many university, government and foundation programs are based on the logical approach pioneered by The Grantsmanship Center. Over 145,000 alumni in 43 other countries testify to the value of this training.
