“Dance is created for the simple reason that it is Beautiful” says sage BHARATHA in Natya Shastra. Somashekar Chudanath and Sowmya now train dance enthusiasts in the art of Bharathanayam and Kathak in their school “NIRANTHARA SCHOOL OF DANCE”. This couple has performed at several NATIONAL and INTERNAIONL dance festivals. Their performances has showcased in India in prestigious festivals like EFCEP sponsored by ICCR, December season festival in Chennai, Hampi Festival, Margam Festival organized by Academy Of Music. INTERNAIONL dance festivals like SALISBURY INTERNATIONAL Dance Festival-U.K, American Folk Festival- U.S.A to mention few. Recently the couple awarded as “NATYA MAYURI” and “NATYA PRAVEENA” for their performances in Qatar. The couple extends their teaching activities to schools and colleges and choreographs dance sequences based on thematic and non-thematic productions.
