Hari Nath Jha is a popular Music Director, Dhrupad Exponent and a Maithili Singer. He has trained in, and performs a wide range of musical genres, including both forms of Indian Classical Music (Khyal and Dhrupad singing), Light music including Bollywood, Bhajan and Folk.
Jha has extensive performing experience with world-renowned musicians.
He began learning Classical Music from Shri Haridwar Prasad Khandelwal and later began his training in Dhrupad, under Padma Shri Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar, who represents the 20th unbroken Generation of the Dagar Gharana. Beside this he has a M.A and M.Phil in vocal music and learnt from Pt. Hari Charan Varma, Prof. Krishna Bisht, Pt. Rajendra Prassanna and Pt. Jwala Prasad.
Jha has directed the music of several Films and TV Serials on Doordarshan. He has had many successful concerts in India, USA, Port of Spain, South Africa, Europe, Pakistan & Bangladesh. Currently he is in North East, and working for SNA. Contact number : +91 9354200966.
