Sanjeev Srivastava is an Indian journalist with 4 decades of experience. He was the India editor of BBC Hindi service, including Internet & radio, from 2006, having previously been a correspondent for BBC News.
He started the BBC's first Mumbai Bureau reporting across BBC television & radio services in English, Hindi, and Urdu. Before joining the BBC, he worked as a correspondent with TOI & Indian Express.
Srivastava joined Sahara News Media Group as editor & CEO in December 2009.
In 2011, Srivastava traveled across India as a journalism trainer with the BBC World Service Trust & continues to report for the BBC.
During his long career, Sanjeev Srivastava has covered 11 Parliamentary elections, scores of state elections and has interviewed and interacted with newsmakers across the political spectrum including most Indian Prime Ministers.
He has also interviewed top film stars, sporting greats, business leaders & celebrities & icons from other fields.
