Beth & Coop | Parenting, Deaf Awareness & ASL Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

As a hearing individual, I never imagined giving birth to a deaf child. But in 2019, my son, Cooper, was born profoundly deaf—and our emotional, beautiful, and transformative journey into the world of deafness, cochlear implants, and bilingual communication began.

We chose a dual language approach—using both American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken language—to give Cooper the freedom to communicate in the way that feels most natural to him. While he primarily prefers spoken language, he signs when he wants to, and his ASL comprehension is incredible.

This platform has evolved into a thriving, supportive community of parents, educators, and advocates who value real, raw, and honest conversations about deafness, accessibility, and inclusion.

Through my platform and bestselling book, The ABCs of Inclusion, my mission is to educate, empower, and inspire others to embrace diversity in communication and create a world where every child’s voice—spoken or signed—is valued.
