A published author in the Gallaudet University Press research journal "Sign Language Studies", she is hearing and has over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring ASL.
American Sign Language (ASL) is a full-fledged visual language, with complex morphological & grammatical structures equal to that of spoken languages. ASL is used by the Deaf community in North America and is the fastest-growing "foreign" language / LOTE studied in the US.
