🌍Wai Wai Nu is a former political prisoner, a youth leader, an advocate for democracy and human rights, and has received numerous international awards, including the City of Athens Democracy Award, Impact Hero Award, Democracy Courage Tribute, Hillary Rodham Clinton Award, N-Peace Award, and recognition as a young global leader by the World Economic Forum and a Next Generation Leader by Time Magazine in 2017. Nu has also been named among 100 global thinkers by Foreign Policy Magazine in 2015 and listed among BBC's 100 women in 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from Yangon East University and her Master of Laws from the University of California Berkeley, School of Law.
