Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) was established in Germany in 1975, under the name of 'Komitee gegen den Vogelmord'. From the very beginning, we have specialised in the work against bird poaching - a small but important field of activity in the field of environmental protection. Today, we are the only European organisation with this specialisation and we are active in most hot spots of migratory bird hunting in the Mediterranean basin. Our aim is to put an end to wild bird hunting - with shotguns as well as trapping with various traps or nets. We intervene where trappers, hunters or traders violate nature conservation laws. All our actions are carried out in close cooperation with environmental authorities and the police.
