Once upon a time, we were worlds apart. From lands far away, I could never have imagined how my journey would bring me to be living on 200 wild and wooly acres in rural South Carolina. But here I am today making a home in the house
built-from-scratch by my husband and our own building crew of boys.
I am a blessed mother to 11 and a Marmee to more, with a love for making a "house"--a "home".
I look back over my journey, sharing snippets with you from our lives and the generations before us, along with ideas and stories of how we have built, gardened, hunted, baked, and stitched our way through life hoping to inspire you to follow your dreams and make them happen . . . even if you have to start from scratch!
We are all building lives for ourselves, and everyone's finished "product" is unique and different. Here I get to share with you our life and our story.
