Hi! My name is Marcus Grant. I've taught over 400 students (200+ beginners) - ages 6 to 76, of all experience levels - since 2011.
I'm a Professional Trumpet Educator, Performer, Composer, and Producer with 9 years of college teaching experience, and I currently serve on the Board of Directors at the National Trumpet Competition, where I have also judged for every round (from prelims to finals) and for every division.
As a teacher, I specialize in accelerating student growth by identifying each student’s 2–3 biggest opportunities for improvement and building clear, actionable goals around them. My students have marched drum corps, attended top music schools, and won professional music jobs.
My mission is to make high-quality, accessible trumpet music and education available worldwide, while sharing my love for the trumpet with all.
Education:
Master's Degree in Trumpet Performance (Indiana University)
Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from (Virginia Commonwealth University)
