Welcome to The Little Orchard Farm! We have dreamed for years about getting a little slice of God's green earth just for ourselves - something a little larger than a cracker box. So, after the kids went off to college that is just what we did. We purchased 56 beautiful acres in North Alabama and we are on a journey to build our modern homestead. There was just one problem - there was nothing on the parcel. So we started from the ground up by building our very own cabin. Many have asked what is a "modern" homestead? First generation, not completely off-grid with water and power, and self-reliant in the food we eat, the lifestyle we live, and the protections we afford our homestead- that is the freedom and serenity we are searching for and the newly discovered American Dream! So, if you are young, old, or somewhere in between we hope you will join us as we "live and learn" and share our experiences with you all on our homesteading adventure!
