Christians in America are depressed, angry, and feel helpless. I feel your pain, so I took my brokenness to Jesus.
I so sorely want to do something to make a difference. Then God revealed that He doesn't want me to do anything for Him. God is only interested in me joining Him in what He is doing in the world.
The more I began to walk like Jesus, the more I wanted to seek solitude through hiking and spending time soaking up His presence through prayer and reading scripture. It's wild. People are falling further from God, and He is telling me to isolate myself in the woods and lead others there!
Now I know why time in the wilderness is essential to be a disciple. Before God can use us, we must exemplify what being a disciple looks like.
Before we can make a difference, we must be different.
