Channel Description
Welcome to Haven’s Homestead, a flourishing 7-acre farm nestled in scenic Weir, Mississippi! Our haven takes its name from Haven Greyson Smith, a resilient one-year-old preemie born at less than a pound. Despite facing steep odds, Haven has conquered every challenge life has thrown his way, inspiring us daily. Our charming haven is lovingly curated and managed by the one and only Uncle Ra Ra, a passionate steward of this idyllic retreat.
Here, our vibrant chickens roam freely, thriving on a non-GMO, pasture-based diet. From delectable bugs to our homemade and homegrown fodder, these feathered friends enjoy a balanced feast, ensuring their optimal well-being.
Our diverse flock features an array of captivating breeds, including Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Mississippi Mudders (Freedom Rangers), White Leghorns, Brown Leghorns, and Silkies. Notably, we proudly house Mississippi Maroon Marans (Black Copper Marans) descended from Bev Davis's renowned and prize-winning lineage.
