Welcome to Butcher, Baker, and the Queso Maker, we used to homestead or "lifestead " in Oregon on 5 acres and keep dairy sheep and a horse. But we left it to load our family of 5 into our 5th wheel trailer. We will traveled around the US for over a year to find our next homestead so we could afford more land and live a more purposeful and self-sustaining life.
Today is completely different. We are moving to the opposite end of the country to Maine. We bought 21 acres of coastal Maine surrounded by forests and farmland.
We make videos featuring how to make everything from scratch including bread, fermenting, butchering, and cheese making, plus other videos about our crazy wonderful farm life and eventually to highlight our adventures across the US.
