Hailing from sunny Los Angeles, California, the SoCal VoCals are USC's oldest a cappella group, celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. 2016 will also mark the release of their eighth studio album, featuring a range of genres from rock to pop. The VoCals are the reigning champions of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, taking first place at the Beacon Theater this April. They also hold the record for most victories in the competition, winning in consecutive attempts in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, and most recently in 2018. They have sung at the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, and the Staples Center, for such audiences as Chris Martin, Sara Bareilles, and the President and First Lady of the United States. VoCal alumni have been featured on NBC's The Sing-Off and won multiple Grammy Awards. Above all, the VoCals are about to making music and having a good time— so get ready to make some noise for the SoCal VoCals!
