Channel Description
Notpla is a London-based business working at the forefront of creating a new sustainable packaging future. On a mission to make packaging disappear, we're pioneering the use of seaweed as an alternative to single-use plastic. We're leading the way in developing biodegradable & home-compostable packaging made from seaweed and plants, thus reducing unnecessary plastic in the environment.
With our unique materials and technology, we developed our first product--the Ooho--in 2013, a flexible packaging for liquids that biodegrades in 4-6 weeks, or can even be eaten. Our team, composed of over 50 passionate sustainability-minded people, has now developed a range of innovative products that are leveraging the properties of seaweed, among these are a coating for cardboard (for use in take-away food boxes), flexible films, and paper.
